A generous sponsor has offered all rent money received from their Englewood home to h.o.p.e. with the proceeds funding the h.o.p.e. programs:

Affordable, wheelchair accessible housing: h.o.p.e. was directly involved with AOI, Craig Rehabilitation Hospital, and other organizations in the placement of families in homes owned by other sponsors. Through sponsorship, the homes were remodeled to make them wheelchair accessible. These renovations provided alternative housing, in lieu of nursing home facilities, for a person with disabilities and his or her family. h.o.p.e. works with the sponsor and other organizations in locating this family. So far, the two homes are located in Englewood, CO (left) and Denver, CO. (right)

| August 12, 2009 "It was an argument between brothers that put us in touch with the wonderful people of h.o.p.e. The argument was that there would be no such thing as a fully wheelchair accessible house for rent, not one that met all our specific accessibility requirements, within our price range, let alone one that was in the correct location in regards to our jobs, public transport, and family. However, independence was a dream that h.o.p.e made come true above and beyond our expectations. Having previously dealt with a third floor apartment, it was not until we contacted Robin and Carol that we had any hope of crossing the threshold of our home without 20 minutes of heavy lifting. Our base requirements were seamless front door access and a roll-in shower, but this house offers so much more: a back deck with ramp into our backyard (a backyard!) so we can entertain, garden and relax without worrying about backdoor steps, or sinking in grass or gravel; tile for easy rolling; lowered light switches and so much more. There are not words to describe the serendipitous experience we have had with h.o.p.e, and the ease with which we can now live our lives individually and together thanks to their amazing work, generosity, and foresight.
